This is my first post for 2020! I hope you had a good break. This year I am a year 7 in the hillary hub. It is currently Week 7 in Term 1. Our theme of this year is CHANGE, "Be the Change you want to see in the World.".
Chapter Challenge
This Year we are starting up a new station called Chapter Challenge. It is a cool reading activity where we read a book and then do activities and answer questions about the book. The book we are reading is 'The Map Makers Race"! It is very fascinating. Here are some of my tasks that I have done so far:

Information Report
Last week we finished our information reports about wars. I did the Treaty of Waitangi. Other people have done the taranaki wars, northern wars, etc.. Here is a link to my information report if you would like to read it...

Swimming Sports
In Week 5 we did swimming sports. I was in freestyle, backstroke & breaststroke. In freestyle I got in the finals and then got around last because there are lots of good swimmers in my year. Then, next was backstroke. I came 3rd in my heat, then in the finals I would've came 2nd again but I turned onto my front and got disqualified. Then the good part.. In breaststroke it was a straight final! I came..... THIRD! But, sadly, I wouldn't have gotten to zones but my friend who came first for breaststroke didn't want to do it for zones. So I have zones tomorrow!That is pretty much it that has happened this term. I have enjoyed being in the hillary hub so far. Thanks for reading my blog.
