Week 8 Highlights

Aloha everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Today I will be talking about what we have done this week.  On Monday, we had a reading test online and today we have had a science test. 

Yesterday, Thursday 19 March, we had a visitor who talked to us about the Treaty of Waitangi as it was one of our inquiry tasks since February. She told us about how her tribe lived in Gisborne and they were "naughty" (in trouble) so they were sent to the Chatham Islands for two weeks. Two of my favourite things that she talked about is how her name "Atawhai" means Kind and Caring, that some people were punished by going other to the Chatham Islands.
