Tanka Poem

Kia Ora everyone,

This week on Monday we learnt about tanka poems, tanka poems are a short poem, like a haiku, but the lines have syllable count in this order; 5,7,5,7,7. But a haiku is 5,7,5. So it's just three extra lines. The poems both are made in Japan.

This poem has 5 lines and is really short but with lots of figurative language. Here is an example of a haiku...
