Refugee Day - Week 10

As-salaamalaykum everyone!

Welcome back to my blog, today I am talking to you about refugee day.
Yesterday, Thursday 4th of April we did a refugee day. We had refugee day to remember the people of South Sudan and so we know how they feel and how much effort they have to put into their life everyday.

We built huts like the tents that the South Sudanese people. It was very stressful at some points but very fun! I built my hut with my Team, Isla, Eilish, Rose, Julia, Simon and Hannah. Our team name was Team Talent, because we're talented or another reason that you might find out in my blog next term! We were probably the biggest group - we had seven people - imagine living in a small hut with six other people, that would be a disaster! For lunch we all had ... Rice! Funny thing, I had rice for breakfast that morning. We all had to bring our own bowls to put the rice in, the best part... We all had a chance to get seconds!

I had a good time building a fort with my mates... It got a bit stressful and annoying at some times because of the wind blowing down our huts but that's okay, it made us persevere more. In the end we all had a good day, eating rice and having fun in our huts!
